Model of famous Auto Union car that raced at Shelsley Walsk Hillclimb in 1930's. This Auto union car was driven by Hans Stuck who drove for the Auto Union works team.
Shelsley Walsh is the oldest motor sport venue in the world still operating - it is over 100 years old - and is picutred on the box the model comes in - the actual car is being driven up the hill by Hans Stuck. The event pictured was in 1936 and Stuck equalled the course record in practise on the Saturday (about 45 seconds for the 1,000 yard course) but it was wet on the race day, Sunday, and he was unable to break the record.
Shelsley is a fantastic place, being about 10 miles SW of Worcester- it is incredibly beautiful and atmospheric, almost unchanged from the 1930s.
Thank you to one of our Customers who still attends events at Shelsley for all of this great information!

Too often small cars are poor quality, but that is not the case with these classic SCHUCO piccolo car models which are built to last as well as provide fun for all ages over 3.

We recommend you spend £11 on this one car rather than on 2 or 3 modern alternatives - you will not be disappointed and these will be the antiques roadshow items of the future!

Die cast metal model of a classic.
