Key features of this wooden sandpit are:
Easy to open and close lid from young age.
Sand is kept damp (but not too wet) due to the slatted nature of the lid panels in the box - so the sand is ideal for playing with on all but the wettest of days.

Lid protects from animals but allows water to pass through the sand. Lids turn into seats for children to sit on and play. Permeable lining keeps weeds out and lets the water drain through.

The benefit is your kids will LOVE this sandpit and you will get some quiet time whilst they have fun playing!

The lids on this sandpit opens and folds into a seat on either side of the sandpit for the children to sit on whilst they play in the sand.

We have seen many garden sandpits and this one is the best in terms of quality of the play value and quality of the sand in the sandpit.

The wooden sandpit comes with a permeable lining on that allows water to run straight through the sand from the pit. Remember slightly wet or at least damp sand is much more fun to play with than dry sand!! The lining also keeps weeds out so your children can play in clean sand.

The sandpit lids can be lifted by small children safely, and this means that you do not have to be there for them to start playing. Children can easily be taught to close the lids too so when the sandpit is not in use it is safe from cats and other animals who might like to "use" the sandbox too!

The lid keeps the sandpit in top condition, because water is allowed in and to pass through the sand is kept damp yet clean - perfect for making sandcastles!

Our children still love to play in the sandpit aged 6 and 8.

Unique to this sandpit is the wooden slotted lid which allows little ones to open and close it without fear of trapped finger and it protects your sandpit too!

We have had this sandpit in our garden for 3 years - and every time its used we see that children really do sit on the bench whilst playing in the sand.

The design makes closing the sandpit easy so we do it everynight which has the benefit of keeping the sand clean too!
